No. It's all very random. Unlike my previous journey, I'm not counting hours this time. I'm spending 2 to 4 hours a day bidding on various projects, and just an hour or two executing the projects I won.

No. It's all very random. Unlike my previous journey, I'm not counting hours this time. I'm spending 2 to 4 hours a day bidding on various projects, and just an hour or two executing the projects I won.

I'm not counting hours. I told you the match. I'm spending 2 to 4 hours on bidding and an hour or two on executing won projects - these numbers keep changing.

Generalised profile. I write well with loads of testimonials from previous clients to get responses.

Hey, I really want to know on what basis does the lead generation works? Do you just give them the information that this person might be interested in your project or do you warm the leads for them?
And do you keep it per lead charge?

I have always been put off by upwork i guess, by the bidding system it seems only the cream floats to the top and i feel this journey shows that. Well done for an amazing target i hope you nail it!!

They instruct in their job description what info they need in the leads. I charge on per project basis (not on per lead basis). I work around the clients budget always - there's no point negotiating with clients on Upwork. Cuz they always have the next guy who'd want to do it cheaper.

Let's just say I'm a little bit lucky to have an 8+ years old Upwork profile with decent work history. So that has helped.

Since this is the first month, I'm going to test both approaches and see what works best for me. The highest paying project I got is for $1,000 and the lowest so far is $75 (for this journey). In my previous journey on Upwork (you can look it up on my profile) the highest one was $3,000.

My strategy is to keep bidding non-stop and work with whichever client replies (getting replies from clients is difficult on Upwork due to so many freelancers on the platform in all niches). I'm pitching to at least one $5,000 project everyday - still waiting for my first high ticket project. Till I get the cake, I shall continue to eat the crumbs - still grateful that I get to eat something, considering how difficult it is to make money on freelance sites
