10beasts get recovered

well it has been more than 6 months I guess it is safe to say it is recovered and that the owner (previous) is a big boss regarding SEO.

Recently he has been ranking nr 1 for the keyword best smartwatch. I have been checking this keyword last year. It cannot be done is what I thought pages 1 and 2 are filled with the big guys Cnet, The verge, Techrader ...

Yey 10beasts has done it it has ranked nr1 leaving all the big sites in the dust.

So my question is what do you think is the secret sauce?

humongous content + ux could be part of the equation?
I'm still not convinced UX is a big factor at all.

I have one site (ranks for multiple 50-100k monthly search keywords) and it has a 7 year old WP theme on it. Bounce rate near 50% because they just click through to the offers page. It ranks just because of the root authority... same with some of my other affiliate sites, one page jumped up +10 after the latest update, average time on site is 11 seconds lol. God speed CTR.

here we are talking about top 3 spots in a very competitive query.
so the sites at the bottom of page 1 or lower, it may not matter that much, but how do you climb to the #1 spot? at some point ux plays a role, in fact it is not me saying it, this fact is commonly agreed upon within the SEO community.
but what I found particularly interesting with site in OP, was, I really liked ux; very smooth scrolling, and very nice layout to the eyes.

I think they both play a factor. But as mikey said with afiliate sites the visitor does not stay long on the site, they see the product they click away. And look at the other in the lists that 10beasts competes with. Looking at the top10 in google 10 beasts has the lowest amount of authority but ranks nr1

This is not an affiliate site, this is a top affiliate site. Not the same realm.

If people behave this way on your site does not mean people behave that way on a site such as OP, with outstanding content such as his; so yes "some" people read "some" of the content, however extraordinary that news might be to you.
