    Hi All,
I posted the following Blog post in another forum and I thought some aspiring newbies Here could find some inspiration to start 2014 right.
    Enjoy

    Was the Goal Achieved?

A few times this year i have updated you guys on the progress of my 100k goal[not in the BHW forum], with milestones and insights all shared.
But now the time has come to see if it all meant something.
A year from november I left Boston and came back home with nothing but a few hundred bucks in my name to declare that, by the end of year 2013, I will have amassed $100k somehow.

To date I have made over $100k, the vast majority of which occuring around the 2nd half of this year. Meaning that, in fact, I accumulated 100k in around the last 6-7 months.
SO much has been learned and, in reaching to accomplish this impossible goal, so much growth has precede me. I feel like I have gone through a ritual that has allowed me to pass into higher maturity.

I would like to share some insights, as well as start up a discussion.

    The Good

Persistence, I must say, has been the contributing factor... ESPECIALLY in the first few months. It is actually errie, the stark contrast between the first half and the 2nd half year. WHen youre poor and hanging onto a thin strand of forced optimism about something that you have no clue will work, it can take a mental toll on you, yet in the 2nd half of the year, i went from "forced optimism" to "Proven optimism", meaning that not only did I prove to myself that my efforts worked, but also that I could count on myself to master the unknown. Which is, itself, better then any $997 course.
    Persistence makes a difference.

Thus, Sticking to 1 project will make all the difference in your attempt. I know that many people of this community make it a habit to mass download any and everything that is at least 1 megabytes.
If you're mass downloading shit, you're pretty much screwing yourself over, because the real value in any paid course that you take is the application, or the action, that you commit yourself to. Too bad we can't download "action" though, since thats the only real commodity.
THe tragedy is that our brains are not the mass dumping fields we'd like them to be-- your personal development can only go as fast as your WILL TO ACT on the stuff you read.

We all fall into the bookworm syndrome. Sit down, watch a video on facebook ads, write shit down, but don't take action or procrastinate a long time ( like me).
Application is where the gold is at, not the note taking.

Patience also is your friend. It is hard to succeed at 36 hour course if you're trying to rush through it in 2 hours. Dont fool yourself.

    The Big irony of 2013?
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MAKE MONEY IS ON THIS FORUM.
I'm not even talking about software or shared courses. I'm talking about the mere dialog of the membership alone.
Ironically I didnt use any downloaded material at all to help me start my efforts. As they say: "the best things in life are FREE." There have been discussions I have simply watched and lightly contributed to.
Which leads me to something else.

    Get Social!
Interact with members. Not just on the forum. There are skype groups with knowledgeable people. All the skype groups I am/have been apart of Ive found through the warrior foum (yes, there is somethnig to be gained from the WF ).

I've asked questions when I've been stuck or if I've wanted to learn about something. People are more then willing to share their experiences.
Good question: "Do you guys direct facebook ad traffic to landing pages or directly to your offer?"
Dumbass question: "what offer are you promoting?"

    Now Ask yourself:
Am I or have i been continually downloading stuff for the past year without any noticeable change in my life?

Do I have a goal to strive toward to? Will these downloaded material help me get closer to this goal?

What am I doing to get closer to this goal?

What is keeping me from getting closer to this goal?

A prime example for many people is the use of paid advertising. Many people dislike the fact of parting with their money without the gaurantee of profitable return. It took me a loooong long time for me to finally spend my first $0.74 on facebook ads :)lol:)

    Anything else about The Good?
A discussion will probably spark some better insights.

    The tragedy
Unfortunately, i have to say, there really isnt any full victory without the tragedy of new insight about yourself and your actions.
My achievement in reaching "higher maturity" has made me realize just how immature I really was and, indeed, still am. Despite my milestone achievement of getting an office, and of making $100k, i still find it difficult to be focused and capable for work and I still hardly have a work ethic to abide to. I might even have ADHD (I would appreciate some links to adult ADHD websites).

Even when it comes to learning something new... I honestly still fall into the habit of procrastinating action.
I think the act of "taking action" is a skill. It took me 2 months to officially start creating facebook ads again. What takes 30 seconds to do took me 2 months to execute. Demon procrastination.

I am only now mastering the 100k mindset.

I've also learned that what I have... is not a business, but just a solution to replenish my money supply. This probably would have been good if i was a college boy living in a dorm, but having acquired serious dreams about making an impact in the world has made the "comfort button" obsolete to me. I think this will happen to all people who reach financial "mastery". You will start to realize just how overhyped money is.

    ===============================================================================
HAving your private "ATM machine" is very much different then having an actual business.
Making money does NOT mean you have a business.
If you do not have a business, you will NEVER be secure.

Establishing a private "ATM machine" is a devilish trick of the mind that destroys the name of commendable long-term action.
There are many high-level marketers out there that do $100k launches in mere days, but still somehow cannot afford to pay their $190 electric bill or rent.
Some of these people I talk to are INSANE (in the BAD sense :()
    ===============================================================================

I did not think attracting freebie leads or having a website was necessary since I've only dealt with buyer leads entering my exclusive membership areas.
But now I am starting to see why website/blogs are necessary. If anyone else has any insight on this, please do share. I get a ffiliates that can send a few hundred sales per email and I always wonder... is it because they have a website that collects leads?
I only replenish my email list every time I launch something new.

    Anything else about the tragedy?
A discussion may further spark some insight.

"I feel like I have gone through a ritual that has allowed me to pass into higher maturity."

Spot on, when I started to make money online, like to easily make a comfortable living with it, that was exactly the same feeling for me as well... As if I just stepped up a level, but in real life... And in a way I think it depends on the fact that you start shifting your mind from: "what job am I gonna do next" to "I don't need a job, I create MY job". Very empowering feeling.

"Despite my milestone achievement of getting an office, and of making $100k, i still find it difficult to be focused and capable for work and I still hardly have a work ethic to abide to. I might even have ADHD (I would appreciate some links to adult ADHD websites)."

Do NOT believe in that SHIT, my man. We're NOT robots, instead of focusing on how you could do "more" if you're already in the 6-figure club, start thinking about how you can efficiently DEMAND the hardcore chores to somebody else. Hire local ppl, find VA's, whatever works, really, again do NOT burn out: adhd is just royal BS we're just human beings, that's all. That's why -like any business that's growing- you'll need more and more to steer yourself into a CEO/CTO-like position and let your employees do the grunt work.

    Good thread and congratulations.

WarriorPlus, Clickbank, and I think he used some other affiliate programs for the products selling.

    OP, Congrats on your income.

    Thanks for your guide.

Are you promoting products on Facebook via paid ads? If one has to do this what would you say the amount of money they should allocate to this in order to give it a proper shot?

    Definitely not adsense. lol.
Why is that always the first guess?

Adsense doesn't pay that much at all, I believe that every kind of person can start off above a few pennies per purchase.

Although, it really is all about your style of marketing by the end of the day.

I've only very recently used facebook as a platform to promote my products.

I think my advice will only be very specific to my circumstance, but here I go:

When I decided to include facebook ads, I told myself to expect to lose $500 just to collect data.
My loses were no where near that.

I started with CPC jsut to gather data, however if you have money to burn, you'll probably want to "quicken" the data gathering process by allocating $30 or $50 bucks into a CPM campaign with a high bid, just to quicking get those impressions in so you can analyze the data.

Anyway, the click-through rate wasnt Peter-Park good, but my ROI was pretty awesome.

Also, it helps to gather User IDs in specific groups or fanpages, and then targeting that group of IDs.

Finally, if half of the terminology I use doesnt make sense to you, I advice you to both take a facebook course AND start running ads.
In fact, just start running ads and spend a few bucks just so you can get a feel for the whole process.

    And Finally,
Don't F*** with the Facebook TOS or Ad Guidelines.
    Don't F*** with Facebook. Period.

    Good luck.

I have accomplished my 2013 goals, however in reality I haven't. My goals were to make $X,XXX through a business. I made that much money, however it was through PPD... I know that PPD could be gone tomorrow and i would have no more way of making money, therefor it is not a business. This year my goal is to first establish a business, and then make money through it. Not simply a set amount of dollars.

Great post crackedcreative, I am looking into those programs/books you mentioned and hope to learn something from them.

I actually tried facebook ads twice for my business but not a single lead. I swore to myself I would never use facebook ads again but I'm gonna try it again soon. Would you say paying for likes to a facebook page is better than Direct linking?

That entirely depends on what you want accomplished.
getting people to your fanpage and then using something like splashpost to sign them up into your email list is obviously good.
But linking to a environmentally friend recipe advertorials also works too.

Depends on want you want your end result to be.

That is amazing story ... How did you break the cycle of procrastination/FEAR and especially when you get started? Thx.
