Which would you go for?

Both aged, have similar Domain Rating and Referral Domains.

depends on the niche. i mean things like how competitive they are and monetization options.

By website if you mean it generates some steady income and traffic for last 6 months at least then I will opt for the website.
Although depending on the income I will bargain/negotiate the price too.
If the website doesn't have steady traffic and income for minimum 6 months I won't touch it.

I would also like to mention if that $1K domain is to be used as a money site then it's ok.
But if it is to be used for linkbuilding like PBN, Guest Post etc I will prefer to go with 3 separate domains totaling around the $1k budget.

It depends on your business goals, budget and the stage of your online presence. If you are starting from scratch, a website may be more suitable.

If you have to ask this, you won't be able to utilise the $1000 domain to it's full potential. Get a starter site in that budget and you will atleast get some cash flow right away.

I would go for the website, as long as it has steady traffic and income for at least 6 months.

You should consider your goals and requirements before investing in a domain or a website. If long-term investment and brand recognition are your primary concerns, domains may be a better choice.

I wish you had provided further information about website like traffic and articles, etc.

However if I have to answer your question, then I will select the website any day because the domain merely doesn't hold any value without the content.

I would choose the working website. Domains are very risky.
