$100 a month for SEO?

Sorry but 100$ is a joke price for SEO. Of course you will find some people who will agree with that price, but I can guarantee that they will do nothing good for your business. Agree with those who said that you should have a plan because SEO consists of many things and unfortunately for you, you have to pay for every part of it.

Not at all. If you can invest $100 you can hit small changes in SERP. But average $350 - $500 you can invest some of medium changes and more.

If you're targeting to develop brand, leads and traffic for your relevant industry. You can try out content marketing. You can generate more referral inbound links, some more brand & lead development.

Like Create Infographics Creation and Distribution, Guest Blogging, Case Studies, EBooks and much more. Here one thing mentioned content is more importance. For more SEO or any others.

Whatever think and step forward. Cheers !!

While $100 is very much on the low side as others have mentioned, $500/mo isn't necessary either depending on what you're trying to promote.

After evaluating a whole bunch of services we went with LayeredLinks basic plan for $219. Wasn't expecting much but had some pretty awesome results which are so far holding. Doing this every month could work for you. Maybe every second month and you've got your $100/month budget :)

It takes a bit to find someone that can do it right... You can pay a little or a lot and it really won't help you with how good the SEO is... A lot of SEO "experts" just spam the web with links and send you a report saying, "look how good I did!" The best SEOs I've seen have private networks that can push traffic like no ones business.

$100 per site isn't bad that's what I'm paying my guy and he does his job very well, in two months my sites can go from nowhere to front page...

Finding my guy was luck on my part, but I would just ask peoples opinions on who they use.

Good luck I do have to say this is the hardest and often most critical part of building a site.

While I wouldn't touch anything for that cost, I think you might find that newer people, who don't have any/many clients, might take $100/mo. However, they may not be very experienced, which could, in turn, end up costing you a lot more in the long run if/when your site gets penalized.

That said, there are plenty of 'gurus' out there, who swear that they have the holy grail of SEO methods, that might also ruin a site. This usually happens when they become enamored with high-end or riskier methods that lower level people don't have access to because of the associated costs.

In short, it might be ok to use a poor, struggling high school kid, who doesn't have enough $ to own his/her own blog network, and so is forced to write articles, leverage social media, do citations, and make some blog comments here and there.

If you just have a local 'brochure site' (thanks for that valuable term Schmitty) that you can replace easily (heck, people do these for $20 on Fiverr!), ask your teenage nephew if he has any buddies who know about how to rank websites. You might just find a great deal.
