Found this interesting thread on Twitter today that I thought I’ll share with you guys

This guy claims he got 2 million pageviews and 1.2 million visitors to his website in like 12 months with only Programmatic SEO. It’s worth a read.

I wonder how hard one can bank with such sites. Is it an underrated SEO strategy or was he just in pure luck?

Very interesting either way, I wouldn’t mind taking on such a project, just need a coder to do it for me hahaa

I know what kind of website he is talking about. I have a few similar websites, and I was also able to reach similar numbers. It's difficult now though because Google won't index most of your pages and too much competition.

This works

It used to work 10 years ago, but was short lived.
This was for a site relating to Christmas that ranked for hundreds of pages on page 1 and brought in a shitload of cash, then middle of the Spring Google kicked into into touch. This was the email the guy who was offering this service sent me:

If your site provides value and has some original content (AI) then programmatic seo is very much alive, that type of site might deserve a new name though

Yeah, things have progressed since 10 years back for sure.

I really don't understand what this person did, could someone explain it to me?

According to the guy from the tweet...

So, basically, he´s somehow auto blogging targeting only long-tail and/or low competitive keywords. If you can do this in bulk or at scale effectively, then I surely believe this is possible.

Imagine targeting keywords with a very low keyword difficulty score with 0 to 10 monthly search volume and automatically creating hundreds of posts automatically with decent content and already SEO optimized.

How about combining this strategy with longtail keywords, could be a winner, no?

I would really like to see how he came up with 500+ words for statistics. All automated.

I saw someone do this with measurement conversions. Basically create a page for each combination like.
1ft = 12inchs
2ft = 24 inches

And just target people googling "what's 1ft equal to in Inches"

The reason this is dying though is because Google is able to answer these questions on its own with the creation of the Google assistant.

That’s a perfect example.

I hope the more experienced guys will chip in here but it’s basically like the example above, “If x is, what will y be” type questions. So with the measurements you create an example around an object with that specific weight - so this will be your blog post content to help boost SEO ranking
