I've been working on monetizing my art for about a year and I feel like I'm finally in the end-game stages of even seeing any money.. and this is AFTER I've poured $1000+ into it

Namely my ranking in the kindle store, my personal facebook posts and my fan page facebook posts. My personal FB prolly has 500 friends and the Fan page is at 12,000 followers. Just started an ad campaign for the book on amazon, considering making a FB one as well, unsure though.

SO FAAR I've paid about $200. And my FB likes is actually at 6.2k now. One of the posts I boosted has 28,000 likes and 2,100 shares. My friends are ragging on me for spending so much on FB ads especially when I haven't monetized in any way but I think it's important to build a fan base
