So every coin has his own wallet? I dont want to buy BTC because of the fees, I've heard I can get ETH or LTC, then convert them and have BTC if I want. I can't use coinbase cause they don't support my country. Using PayPal or VISA credit card is accepted for buying the first coin?

I;m sry but I really dont understand how this is true. Lets say I'm buying BTC at 5500$ with 20$, I have now (1/275) BTC in my portfolio. Two days later its at 5800$, so now my (1/275) BTC worth 21.1$. The profit it 1.1$. Can you explain what wrong with my calcs? or its yours.
