Respectfully. That seems a bit like "can't teach an old dog new tricks." What if people said "Facebook?... MySpace will be always be #1 no matter what." And there were people that truly believed that.
The biggest room in the world, is the room for improvement. I see the gTLDs as a giant...
Thanks for the constructive reply. I originally pictured it for the average mom/pop website owner that knew enough to know they need a social presence, but not how to get there. I originally thought of the automation software after using one of the social exchange websites. I got bored...
I started a project about a year ago. The idea was to create a site, that worked with automated software.
At the site, you add your links you want liked/followed/retweeted/viewed/commented/listened to (actions).
It would work on a point/coin/credit system. To get actions on your links, you...
Use automated software to follow anyone and everyone you can find. 20-30 percent of those people will follow you back, wait a week and drop the ones that don't. TWTR will stop you after a while from following people, it uses a ratio to determine when. If you follow 600 and only 1 person is...
The most cost effective, if executed correctly: Social Networking. Large flow of visitors quickly. It takes the most endurance (on your part) because social stuff drops almost as fast as it comes.
I think the idea is, that is a link on a .gov site. It's a webpage with your url on it.
You post the link of the .gov page to RSS feeds and other sites and get indexed quicker. That's the theory anyway.
Here's some that are available in the list...
was.today
niche.today
freestuff.today
developments.today
Interesting domains with some creativity applied.
Just did a quick domain name search on the .today TLD extension.
I took the most commonly registered (.com) keywords on the internet (9,171 of them) between 3 and 13 characters long and ran a domain name search.
Of that, 4,393 domain names are still available to regisiter (as of 11Mar14)...
I was doing searches for .technology sites and from the 1,500 (4 and 5 letter) domains I searched through, there were 677 available, here is a short list of funny and good ones you can register today at your favorite registrar...
My favorite (wife.technology).
Funny
stop.technology...
What are opinions on the new pricing schemes for all the new gTLDs?
I think some of them are way overpriced. And speculations on how fast they'll drop, or which ones will be worth the most... some day?
Here's a quick pricing sample from GD...
.tips $24.99
.technology $24.99
.land $39.99...
I think divok is referring to the pre-registration phases. Sunrise and landrush.
Gdaddy actually shows 5 phases. The first phase being the most expensive to get into (corporations) at about $12K to get in. It gets cheaper as the phases go by. But then the domains get less.
Once the 5...
I got desktop.photography.
So much to speculate on with the hundreds of new TLDs. How is G going to react, rank, and sort through all of this? Will the average user be open to it?
Gotta watch the release dates for upcoming extensions. Be first, be fast.
I know I kicked myself in the arse...
