If you do your own outreach, the average cost of a link is something like $150 if you include the cost of the guest post.. if not I'd say you can build great links from $50-200, in that range. I will pay a LOT more for relevant links that are from sites that don't have a ton of outgoing links...

If they want x amount, I would negotiate a link insertion onto a page that has links on it already. That way you get what you pay for. A simple guest post can often feel like a waste of money.

For SEO? Buy a course from either Matt Diggity or Authority Hackers. Learn everything you can for 3-6 months, don't spend a penny. Build your website out a bit, then once you are more comfortable outsource $3000 for content and $7000 for linkbuilding. You should make a lot of money with that...
