it depends on the niche, so social niches require thousands of visitors to make tiny amount of money. Getting traffic wise you may be "successful", but that may or may not translate into real money.

You should always make more than one amazon sites. one sells expensive items, one sells volume. first one to make money, second one to boosts the commission rate, if you see what i mean.

I've just changed from pure adsense to do some amazon affiliates as well since July. Now I have over $300 sitting in my associates account that I don't know which is the best way to receive this money in England. Our banks don't like USD direct deposits, .com gift cards are useless in the uk...
