I've just changed from pure adsense to do some amazon affiliates as well since July. Now I have over $300 sitting in my associates account that I don't know which is the best way to receive this money in England.

Our banks don't like USD direct deposits, .com gift cards are useless in the uk or am I wrong? Can I cash my cheque (check :) ) in a different country which is more friendly with USD cheques even if I registered in the UK?

    Thanks for your input. Cheers!

DirectDeposit doesn't work from US to UK for Amazon so we are left either with gift card or cheque.

You can use gift card if you want to buy something on Amazon US and shipped to UK.

Third option is the cheque option (Which I use myself). It takes about 4-7 days to get the cheque and another week to get desposited in the bank account (varies through bank to bank). But it does incur some charges from £1 to £10 for transaction.

I also use the cheque option, but if the cheque is more than $2000 it needs to go to collection and can take up to a month for you to receive the funds in your account.

I just take the gift card and then put it up for sale on ebay (US) - can usually get about face value for it

I'm in Ireland but I use the check option...never had a problem yet.

Thanks mates. I think I might sell it on eBay and see what happens.
