Help: Amazon.com associates in the UK what payment do you receive?

I've just changed from pure adsense to do some amazon affiliates as well since July. Now I have over $300 sitting in my associates account that I don't know which is the best way to receive this money in England.

Our banks don't like USD direct deposits, .com gift cards are useless in the uk or am I wrong? Can I cash my cheque (check ) in a different country which is more friendly with USD cheques even if I registered in the UK?

I also use the cheque option, but if the cheque is more than $2000 it needs to go to collection and can take up to a month for you to receive the funds in your account.

I just take the gift card and then put it up for sale on ebay (US) - can usually get about face value for it

I'm in Ireland but I use the check option...never had a problem yet.
