I have e-commerce site where most pages are dinamically built from a DB (product pages). I would like to know what happens from the search engine point of view, when I update the whole catalogue.
All the URLs, infact, are substituted by the new ones, so you have 30k pages disappear and 30k new...
In GWMT I see links pointing at my site, but by inspecting them, nearly all are NOFOLLOW links.
I expected only "valid" links to be considered by G.
The links are about 3-4 years old (2009), so I can think that they once were "valid" and now they might be nofollow...but in this case why do they...
Which operations are safe to perform without using proxies? I imagine all those that do not rely on search engines, am I right?
Can someone draft a list of operations that need proxies and that don't?
