what is up with the new banners in the threads? I am seeing banner ads right below the main post in all threads. What is going on?

I know that this place is overwhelming with all the information that you can find, the great tools in the downloads section, and all the wonderful services offered here. I would like to know just how many people are addicted to this place. I will admit that I have to set a time limit...

I can not even post an introduction. That is when you know it is to strict. What do you think? I know a lot of people spam, but the moderators should be able to pick up on that fast enough. Just my 2 cents.
