I hired a few VPNs and found that they must've been on various block lists. I suspect big sites are blocking entire Ip blocks.

It comes down to if it's too good to be true, it probably is!

I agree, it can be done but you're probably best starting off using traditional freelance methods to build up some funds to then invest in niche sites/domains/etc.

I ran my own dating site for about 6 months, but couldn't maintain the number of signups required to really make it into anything. I ended with around 1,000 profiles all from the London area, but didn't get much further. Would be willing to JV with someone as I have a programmer background but...
