Do You Still Recommend Adding FAQs to Local Service Pages?

While reviewing some of our clients local business websites, I noticed that several service pages didn't have any FAQ sections.

I usually recommend adding FAQs based on the actual questions customers ask about their services, pricing, availability, and other common concerns. It can make the page more useful and help cover questions that aren't fully addressed in the main content.

Do you also recommend adding FAQs when they're missing from local service pages, or do you prefer keeping the pages focused on the main service content?

I'd suggest adding FAQs if they're going to answer some actual customer queries that the main body of text doesn't cover. Things like pricing, service area, availability and the process itself are all questions that people will have and will want to know the answer to.

I wouldn't add FAQs just for the sake of SEO. If the page already answers everything then it's absolutely fine to keep it as is. Usefulness is the key thing. You don't need to have a raft of questions.

yes you need to add it and if possible add a prizing section that will be able to make people wait or have options to purchase your product

Yes, as long as the questions are real ones. From the contractor side, the questions homeowners ask on a first call are pretty predictable, and most service pages answer none of them:

- Are you licensed, bonded and insured? Put the license number on the page. In Washington anyone can look a contractor up on the L&I website in a minute, and plenty of people do.
- Do you pull the permit, or do I?
- How soon can you start, and how long does a typical job take?
- Do you charge for estimates?
- What does a job like mine usually cost?

The last one is the one businesses avoid, and it's the one that saves both sides a wasted site visit. Even a wide range filters out callers who were never going to hire you.

Skip FAQs written for keywords, like "Who is the best plumber in [city]?" Nobody asks that.

FAQs are important; you should always have them in the service pages, or if you can't, then create a page for just FAQs where you answer all the general or specific problems there.

I’d also make sure the main service content covers the important details first then use the FAQ section for anything that doesn’t fit naturally.

Yes, FAQs are useful when they answer real customer questions. They make service pages more helpful and clear, but avoid adding them just for SEO. Keep them relevant and easy to read.

Yes for me, FAQs are a must add because they answer real customer questions about pricing, service areas or availability. They make local service pages more helpful.
