Writing this down mostly because the timing was odd.

Tuesday we changed one page from "e-commerce website" to "clothing (brand)." that was the only change i could find. no new ad sets, billing edits or creative swaps.

Wednesday was normal. on thursday morning the bm showed "some features limited" with no useful detail. it stayed that way through friday afternoon, then the notice disappeared that evening. we didn't appeal or change anything while it was sitting there.

I don't know if the category edit had anything to do with it. two days apart is enough to notice, not enough to call it the cause. it may have been a routine review that would've happened anyway.

It might vry well be so, but then again, it is hard to make conclusions based on just one case. It is also possible that anything done to the page can bring about M review process, which is the kind of thing that I would be reluctant to repeat.

Yes, the timing is definitely worth noting but it does not prove the category change caused the review and keeping a record of changes like this can help spot patterns over time.

Could be related, but two days is not enough to confirm. Meta reviews can happen randomly too

Interesting timings, the category changed Tuesday and the limitation appeared Thursday and it disappeared Friday without any changes, it could be related but it may have been a routine review.

I think It could be related but there’s not enough to say the category change caused it because meta can trigger routine reviews even when no major changes are made so the timing is worth keeping an eye on though.

Personally think, the timing is interesting but two days is not enough to link it to the category change, also keep an eye on it and see if the same thing happens after future edits.

Yes, the category change may have triggered it, especially since the restriction appeared a couple of days later but it’s hard to confirm without seeing the same pattern happen again.

It could be worth keeping an eye on the timing, but two days isn’t enough to say the category change caused it because meta can trigger reviews for different reasons.

Yes, It could be related but hard to confirm because meta does random reviews too, I would suggest to just monitor and avoid unnecessary changes.

From my view, two days is a pretty close gap but it’s not enough to confirm a link and could have been a routine review.

Yes, I have seen restrictions appear without clear explanations. since it disappeared without an appeal it may have been a temporary review rather than a direct result of the category change.

yeah, not keen to repeat it on a working account just to find out either lol. was hoping someone here had already run into the same thing.

that was my worry too. start changing things while the warning's up and you end up with even less idea what happened.

did yours clear on its own too? curious whether you got the same vague “some features limited” notice.

The category change might have triggered a review, but it's hard to know for sure because Meta can also review accounts automatically so you should avoid making more changes until everything is stable.

yeah, we left it alone while the notice was up. didn't want to start changing more things and make it even harder to figure out what happened.

Meta asset category edits always push the page into an automated batch review queue. The 48-hour gap is just standard system delay since your compliance score was clean, the temporary soft lock lifted on its own without needing an appeal.

Did support confirm that, or is that what you've seen on your accounts? We never got a reason for ours, so I'm still not sure the category change triggered it.
