Has anyone compared them? Which is more attractive to visitors and better suited for driving website traffic: long videos or short videos on YouTube? Which should be prioritized to bring more traffic to the website?

Value can’t be defined to a certain time frame. Give value and people will check the website for more. If you’re posting garbage 60 sec videos (or any length for that matter) just for traffic then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

as for generating website traffic i think it is best to rely on long form videos. while shorts will be able to attract many views not all of them are willing to click external links. however, an informative long form video will manage to generate enough interest to prompt users to open the webssite.

YouTube Shorts videos are the most popular, and they quickly drive traffic. People are most attractive on shorts.

To drive traffic to my website, I will use long form videos because there is more space for context and call-to-actions here. Short form videos are ideal for gaining reach and discvery first and then redirecting traffic to long form videos.

Long videos are better for bringing traffic to a website because viewers are more engaged and have more time to click links. Shorts are better for getting views and attracting new people.
So I’d prioritize long videos, and use Shorts to bring additional reach.

People usually opt for short videos because they are easy to create and attract a large audience; however, if a long-form video is engaging enough to captivate viewers, it is worth incorporating some longer videos as well.

Both long videos and Shorts have their own distinct audiences, but when it comes to gaining new followers, traditional long videos are more effective.

I think both types of videos have their advantages, but the real difference depends on the audience and the purpose of the content. Short videos are good for grabbing people's attention and reaching new viewers, while longer videos can provide more opportunities to build trust and drive interested viewers to the website. In my personal opinion, short videos should be used to grab people's attention and longer videos should be used to provide useful information and direct viewers to relevant pages on the website. The real issue is not the length of the video, but its usefulness.

Long videos are better for driving traffic to a website while Shorts are great for reaching a larger audience. For the best results, use both.

If you're looking for crazy-fast traffic, I suggest you start with the short video option because that's the new Meta. You'll reach a super large audience and get the best results.
You should start with short videos, then move to long videos afterward once you grow an audience.

I think short currently drive better traffic than long. Long videos are really only for audiences who are already following the channel.

I notice that Shorts are currently being favored over long video, so I think focusing on creating Shorts now would attract an audience faster.

Make shorts around your main topic and use long videos to give more details, then add your website link where viewers can easily find it.

short videos are way easy to get your reach and increase your subs, but on the other hand they barely generate any money, like on 1 million views you would on get 40-50$ per video,

Personally, I find that short generate subscribers faster than long ones. Plus, creating Reels takes less time, making them well worth the investment.
