Are we optimizing pages too much for AI extraction?

I think a simple answer-first structure is enough. There’s no need to make the whole page look like an FAQ just for AI. If the content is genuinely useful and well structured for people, AI can usually figure out the important parts.

Yeah, I'd keep it natural. Answer the question clearly at the top and then provide relevant context, rather than forcing everything into an FAQ format because of AI.

I do pay attention to AI search result optimisation. For this I follow simple strategies, as before we use to start with hook or pain points now I use direct answers first and avoid vague langugae. I also make sure that important sections of content are independently understandable. Also, I try to keep question based headings. Whatever may be the trend its our duty to give our best to get our content ranked. The thing that remain constant always is 'Quality.' If you maintain the quality of your content, I believe you will never lag behind.
