Also had a very bad run-in with Martin (aka Festinger) in the past. He's scum.

And now he's got a new project.

Another place where he can scam people.

I had a similar experience with grootmade with lifetime getting revoked for no reason. And then I got banned on top of it as well when I asked why my lifetime was revoked before they provided any reason or communication. Furthermore, they claim that old FV users are causing "ongoing disruption directed toward our crew has made it clear that this is no longer sustainable." as the reason for reversing their decision to honor lifetime membership. So instead of banning the culprits (if actually true) let's punish everyone.

After what happened with Festinger Vault, my best advice is don't rush into buying a lifetime plan anywhere. Just grab a 1-month sub first, test their update speed and files on a staging site, and only upgrade to lifetime if you're actually happy with it.
A few worth looking into:
GPL Chimp – probably one of the best right now, especially since their auto-updater plugin actually works without breaking stuff.
UltraPlugins – super cheap/affordable if you're on a tight budget.
Geotoko – pretty new in the market, but worth keeping an eye on.
Definitely test with a monthly sub first though.
