Scaling a Meme Page Empire: 1,500 IG Accounts, 20M+ Followers

I am curious about your monetization, do you get a lot of offers and how do you handle that process?
We monetize the pages in many different ways, High ticket CPM deals, promo across pages (we dont do too much promo on main page to keep the content aligned with our audience but story posts are fine). We sell a lot of audio trending sounds we are able to get any audio in top trending sounds which has been great for artists/djs/etc. My main source of revenue from these accounts is utilizing them to do DM outreach to influencers selling them high ticket offerings currently snapchat verification and monetization has been huge for us

Are you able to ballpark earnings that way on a monthly basis? I am just curious how well a large network like that can do. Very interesting monetization style!

Total earnings between everything is between $20-40k/m and our cost to keep the lights on is around $6-8k

That's an amazing success, but IG is so huge you've got a ton of room to grow and earn even more. I will be following your thread for more of your expert insight into IG marketing. Thanks for bringing your story to BHW.

how do you manage so many pages simultaneously?
Majority of managing the pages is VAs and proper SOPs we have a very large team who has been well trained throughout the process. we tried using ominator at one point but that did some major damage to our accounts so we still to old fashion VAs, it is much more costly but worth it for an operation at our scale
how do the VAs manage the accounts? do you own the devices and they access them virtually? or do they use proxies? what is the setup here

We own the devices they remote desktop in. All devices are US based so we have higher trust score and reach US based audience

thanks for this insight! can you point me into a direction if i wanna learn more about this? e.g. tools/keywords/guides ... I am sure u got better stuff to do than answering newbie questions.

Really great .
Would love to see more updates on this journey , Keep it up

I find this really impressive, especially managing 1,500+ pages at scale. I’m curious about your content strategy—do you rely more on centralized content planning or page-level testing? Also, which performs better for traffic and engagement, feed or stories?

I’ve been behind the scenes of a large IG meme and theme page network — 1,500+ pages with over 20M followers, mostly U.S.-based male traffic (cars, gym, edgy humor, etc).

What started with me flipping small pages turned into scaling bundles, optimizing content, and working with creators quietly in the background. Now it’s one of the craziest traffic assets I’ve ever touched.

Happy to share insights about:

  • Feed vs story post performance
  • What kind of content actually moves traffic
  • How we organize 1,000+ pages behind-the-scenes

Not selling anything here — just documenting what’s worked and opening up for feedback or questions.
Is there an easy way to register 1,000+ accounts?

Quick update since a lot of people have been DMing me about this thread.

Been a while since I posted here.

Last year I shared some behind-the-scenes insights about a meme/theme page network we were building.

At the time we had:

• ~1,500 Instagram pages
• ~20M combined followers
• Mostly U.S. male traffic (cars, gym, humor, etc.)

Since then things have grown… a lot.

Current numbers:

• 4,000+ Instagram meme & theme pages
• 50M+ combined followers
• ~20B monthly views across the network

Most of the pages are niche themed pages rather than generic meme accounts.

Examples:

• Gym / fitness motivation
• Car content
• Luxury / lifestyle
• Dark humor / edgy memes
• Viral clip pages

The interesting part isn’t really the follower numbers though.

It’s the distribution power.

When a piece of content hits, we can push it across hundreds of pages within a few hours.

That alone can turn something into a viral asset very quickly.

A few things that have mattered the most while scaling this:

• Feed posts vs reels vs story traffic
• How we repurpose viral content across hundreds of accounts
• Managing thousands of IG accounts without getting burned
• Structuring content folders so VAs can run the machine
• Avoiding duplicate content detection across large networks
• Using theme pages to push traffic to external monetization

What’s funny is this originally started with me flipping small pages and testing different niches.

Now it’s turned into one of the most interesting traffic assets I’ve ever worked with.

Not selling anything here — just documenting the journey and happy to answer questions if people are curious about:

• running large theme page networks
• scaling meme pages
• content systems
• or monetization strategies.

Curious to hear what other people here are seeing with IG theme pages lately.

Im curious how you're able to manage so many without any ban issues, as well as how your content system works. I assume you take a lot of content from existing pages or other platforms?

That's impressive. Great work. I wish you even greater success next year

I was thinking of doing this, starting with 100 accounts.

My bottleneck is not understanding how to actually make money from this. You don't sell a course/product/service, where is the money coming from? Shoutouts for $50/$100 is not big money and tedious to engage with buyers all the time.

How do you make the money?

Which automation tool do you use ?
A mix. I have a custom Geelark automation that runs posting/creation for me. And I have VAs that do some stuff as well. It can run fully automated but I prefer to have a human in the loop so I have someone to yell at (other than myself) if shit stops working.
