That very good for your website.
Couple of points:I did the exact thing for a broken link on a decently warmed up account.

That was some valuable insight. Thanks a ton !Couple of points:
Changing a broken link for a new link is completely different to finding a 'citation needed' tag and adding your relevant link there. A change of url is more likely to set off alarm bells, as Wikipedia's usual line with broken links is that they will link to an archived version of that page instead.
Always check the regularity of edits to a page before making your own. Some of the man-baby editors are really precious about 'their' pages, no matter how obscure.
I assume you meant no-follow?Are wikilinks great for referral traffic alone if you don't believe in do-follow links passing juice?
Wikipedia links can help with referral traffic and credibility, but I wouldn’t expect much SEO value from them. For SEO, focus on relevant editorial links from real websites in your niche and treat Wikipedia as a secondary opportunity.Hello BHW people, i have a question about the Off-page SEO. Are Wikipedia backlinks effective and fine for a website? Does Google ignore or take it into account?
