For a brand new blog, when did you first start seeing decent organic traffic? Looking for real timelines, not "just keep posting."

There is no definite timeline. Sustainable traffic takes between 3-6 months. You'll see spikes and drops before that.

For what it’s worth, mine took 3-6 months before they started getting any kind of regular traffic. Some niches went faster, but I wouldn’t judge anything too early.

Agree with the 3-6 month consensus here, but I think it's worth splitting the answer into stages, because "traffic" can mean different things. On my last two brand-new blogs, impressions in Search Console started showing up around week 6-8, first real clicks from long-tail queries around month 3, and what I'd actually call decent traffic (a few hundred sessions a month, driven by 5-10 posts) around month 4-5. Techz's one-month results are definitely possible, but in my experience that usually happens when the domain has some age behind it or the niche is genuinely low competition. One thing I'd add: don't read too much into months 1-3 at all. Google tends to bounce new sites in and out of the results during that window, and I've had posts sit dead for 10 weeks and then start ranking after a small refresh. If you're two months in and wondering whether the niche is dead, you're probably judging it too early.

Yeah, it’s normal for that to take 3 to 6 months.Low competition keywords will bring in that initial traffic as the website gains age and authority.

Some blogs get their first organic clicks in a few weeks, but consistent traffic usually takes more time.

however the initial process was quite a slow one for me. even though random impressions would come quite quickly clicks were something else entirelly. it took somewhere around 3-5 months before i started to feel that the blog was finally receiving some decent organic traffic.
new field? you will have to wait for 4 months at least for some dead silent traffic until u get lucky with some easy long tail keyword sniping or even redirect cheating.

For a new blog/website it will take some time to get organic traffic. During the initial phase you can get some traffic, but after that you will see rare impressions, because Google takes time to asses the quality of your content & their multiple other factors as well. If you are following Google's guidelines then you can see stable traffic after 6 months, if everything goes well.
in the case of a new blog the first clicks should happen before we see any real traffic at all. in most cases the first month or two is devoted to getting indexed by google nd which pages they decide to pick up. if the content is targgeted well then we can see results after about 3-6 months.
i think in 3-4 month
i saw real organic traffic on my websites!
as i remember, the first few couple of months seem dead as mine have always started working when a few pages got to page 2

First few months were slow for me. I started seeing more organic traffic around 4 or 5 month.

For a completely new domain, I’d say I started seeing the first consistent organic traffic around the 4–6 month mark. Before that, there were mostly impressions and occasional clicks from long-tail queries.
The bigger jump came around months 6–9, when several posts started ranking at the same time. I think the niche and keyword difficulty make a huge difference though—low-competition topics can move much faster than competitive ones.
I’d track clicks and ranking positions rather than just impressions, since impressions can increase for months without producing much actual traffic.
