Trust Wallet Hacked

My Trust wallet was hacked and they managed to take about 2000 dollars from my wallet. I was using an apple device and I didn't click any links.

The same thing happened to me a few years back but with my blockchain wallet. I still don't how the scammers managed to access my wallet and its still frustrating me till this day.

Any ideas?

Sorry to hear that. Even if you didn't click any links, your recovery phrase or device could still have been compromised somehow. I will recommend moving any remaining funds to a new wallet with a fresh seed phrase, checking your Apple account and device security, and avoiding reusing the old wallet.

It can be for several reasons. You may have installed some apps that have viruses and someone has control over your device or from the place where you backed up your seed phrases. Buy a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, and never keep seed phrases anywhere on a phone or PC again.

100% either because of an unauthorized approval from the rogue smart contract or the local device got hacked. The best thing to do now would be to revoke all the permissions immediately, wipe the device, and transfer the remaining funds into a brand new cold wallet.

A while ago, I fell victim to a scam like this a client took my Trust Wallet BEP-20 address and sent dollars, and the amount was actually showing up in my Trust Wallet.When I transfer funds from Trust Wallet to another account, the balance in my Trust Wallet decreases, but the funds do not reach the other account.

Thanks pal. I resetted my iphone, and just created a new wallet. Hopefully it won't happen again.
