What's the one SEO task that's given you the best ROI for the time spent?

For me, the best ROI has come from improving pages that are already getting some impressions but aren't performing as well as they could. Small changes to search intent, content structure, and internal links can sometimes move an existing page faster than starting from scratch.

Old HTTP URLs, www/non-www versions, redirect chains and forgotten old domains can sit there for years. Fixing that stuff is boring, but it can be a much better use of a few hours than publishing another batch of content.

i guess improving those pages that have already been ranking decently well. sometimes just a few minor tweaks to the page itsellf, the user intent nd internal links will have more impact than spending days on creating a new page. also, it is very simple to see whether ur efforts paid off or not.

updating the titles and internal links for page 2 keywords that are within striking distance. only takes 10 minutes and was far better than building new links on ROI every time.
