It definitely helps indirectly by boosting user engagement and local search signals, but make sure the traffic is genuinely interested. Avoid bot or cheap low-quality clicks, as Google's algorithm can easily spot unnatural patterns. Focusing on real local interactions works best!

social traffic can help indirectly. I would not rely on cheap traffic alone to improve a google business profile’s local ranking. things such as relevance, proximity, reviews, business information and genuine engagement are more important. paid clicks from media are not a shortcut, to local rankings.

I don’t think cheap social traffic will influence your ranking when it comes to the GBP. according to me, you should spend this money on legitimate review nd backlink.

Yes, local engagement is really what counts. Bot/cheap tarffic will make your statistics look great, but they don't add much substance and will confuse you anyway if there's anything unusual about the trend.

Imo, social traffic is great for exposure nd conversions, although I would not necessarily consider using paid traffic to drive up a GBP. rankings in local SEO depend a lot more on reviews, relevancy nd proximity.

That said, when targeted traffic engages meaningfully with your profile, whether through direction requests, phone calls, website visits, or reviews, those behavioral signals do provide a genuine benefit.
lets not mix up traffic with ranking factors here. social advertising could help bring real customers to the proffile, but just pouring cheap traffic is not going to help u rank better locally. it is more likely that quallity is more important than quantity in this case.

No, it won't directly influence ranking. However, if the traffic is genuine it could influence local ranking as well as increase user engagement @SAPAN1989
