Are Fresh Pins Still Making a Big Difference for You?

I still use Fresh Pins to increase visibility and engagement. Using Fresh Pins consistently can produce quite good results over time.

I think Pinterest is not only about new designs. Sometimes the right keyword and timing can make an older pin perform better than a new one.

I use Pinterest regularly, and I've noticed that older Pins often receive more engagement over time. That said, I also publish new Pins consistently to expand my content library and strengthen my overall presence on the platform.

I’m focusing on a mix of both. Fresh designs while regularly updating and improving older winners.

I believe both still matter and i would suggest to keep creating fresh pins but also optimize the older ones that are already bringing the legit traffic.

pinning fresh stuff constantly is such a treadmill... in my experience the older pins that rank well in search are what actually keep the traffic steady. new ones just get a temporary spike then die off half the time

i think its more of the social proofing of the post, tag and engagement - in my case i've post from months ago thats constantly getting views still

i’ve noticed older pins can keep performing if they’re still relevant and getting saves or clicks.

Feels like Pinterest still rewards proven pins more than shiny new ones, tbh. Fresh pins help you test new angles and keep things moving, but the older winners usually keep the traffic steady as long as they stay relevant. New designs are nice, but if a pin already works, I’d keep optimizing that before chasing volume.

yeah fresh pins still helps a bit for reach but my older ones still bring most of the steady traffic. i keep posting new ones regularly but i spend more time updating the old winners better titles, descriptions and images.

Older pins drive most traffic because they have built up trust and engagement over time, while fresh pins remain necessary to keep the algorithm actively indexing your account.

older pins can keep performing if they match what people are searching for, so i wouldn’t remove them just because they’re not new. i’d keep making fresh variations while updating the best older pins, that balance seems more useful than chasing volume.

I am using Pinterest from last 6 years. I have been reading a lot of mixed opinions about Pinterest lately. Some people say fresh pins are still essential, while others claim their older pins continue driving most of their traffic. In my case, a few older pins consistently outperform newly published ones, even though the new designs are better. What has your experience been recently? Are you focusing on creating more fresh pins, or are you spending more time optimizing existing content?
Pins are helpful but different is ids if you are using good and old ids which have already good record then traffic will be deviate definately

Fresh pins still matter but Pinterest clearly has a long shelf life. some older pins can keep gaining traffic for months or even years.
