Is blogging still profitable today?

I think it's more competitive than before but that doesn't mean it's too late Finding a specific niche would be my first step

I found that picking a really narrow topic and showing up regularly keeps things moving, even when everyone and their cat seems to be starting a blog in 2026. Mixing up blog posts with quick reels or even stories on Instagram helped pull in fresh eyeballs. Using free keyword tools and updating older posts always gave my traffic a little kick, especially after Google rolled out their latest update.

Yes, blogging is still profitable, but it is more competitive now. Beginners can succeed by choosing a focused niche, creating useful content, and staying consistent instead of expecting quick results.

as a beginner i still think blogging can work.it is definitely more competitive now but if you pick the right niche create genuinely helpful content and stay consistent there is still good potential to make money over time.

Honestly, I think being a small local influencer on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook can be way more profitable. Just find a niche, make a few free promo vids for brands, then hit them up with your past content and ask for paid collabs. It works like a charm.
