Do you guys use guest post marketplaces to compare different publishers before choosing where to place a link?

I’ve been looking at a few guest post options lately, and comparing publishers manually is taking more time than I expected. Some sites have decent DR but barely any traffic, while others have lower metrics but seem much more relevant. Curious how you guys handle this, marketplace or manual research?

Marketplaces help narrow the list, but I still treat them as a starting point not the decision. If the page doesn’t read like a real site or the outbound pattern looks off, I move on. Metrics alone don’t make it a good placement.

for me marketplace and recommedations from my friends help me decide. its acctually hard to decide on one unless you try each DR and later see the one that works well with your niche

The are many options so for me I check and go for the better one

I do use marketplaces mostly for comparison, but in any case, I personally look at all of these factors: relevance, traffic, content, and outbound links.

i would see DR as simply one of the filters nd not the decider. i usually consider relevance, plus actual organic traffic, plus audience quality nd then examine the backlinks on the webssite. manual analysis takes more time but it ensures that u do not pay for websites which look good metric wise but offer nothing of value.

One thing I would add from the other side of this: as someone who manages sites that accept guest posts, the buyers who ask the right questions before ordering are easy to spot. they ask about traffic at the article level, niche consistency, and how many outbound links per post. the ones who only check DR rarely ask any of that.

Marketplaces make it easy to filter by DR because that is what most buyers ask for. But the sites that hold their value long term are the ones being vetted on the harder questions, and those buyers tend to come back.

marketplace is a great tool to look for prospective placements but I not trust it blindly.it is still important to evaluate if it looks like a legitimate website and whether the links are really organic.if something is fishy then I would pass on that particular one since good metrics don't necessarily mean good placements.

Start by using reputable marketplaces to find potential websites, then conduct further research on other important factors such as content quality, actual traffic, and relevance.
