I think AI has definitely made blogging faster for me, but I wouldn’t say it has made the whole process easier.
The biggest time saving is in the first draft, outlining, finding different angles for a topic, and turning rough notes into something structured. But with local service content, I’ve found that the first AI draft usually needs quite a bit of work before it is actually useful.
For example, when I’m working on local service topics, the generic advice can sound perfectly fine but still miss the details that actually matter to someone in that area. I usually have to add real pricing considerations, disposal/recycling practices, service limitations, local terminology, and examples from situations I’ve actually dealt with.
I’ve also noticed that AI can make content sound more complete than it really is. That’s probably the biggest thing I watch for now. I use it more as a research and drafting assistant rather than letting it decide what the final article should say.
So for me, AI has changed the workflow from “write everything from scratch” to “research → draft faster → fact-check → add real experience → edit.” The writing is definitely faster, but the human review is still where most of the useful value gets added.
