Tumblr Indexing Issue: Why aren't my backlinks showing up in Search Console?

Hey guys, I’ve been experimenting with Tumblr to build some tier 1/2 backlinks for my new project

I've posted around 50 high-quality posts with unique captions and images, but Google isn't crawling the links. In GSC, the 'referring page' is still empty.

Is Tumblr's link equity dead for new accounts?

Could it be my site? Since it’s a data-heavy site (13radar), maybe Google thinks it's low-value content?

Does anyone have a trick for forcing indexation of Tumblr pages in 2026?

Would appreciate any honest feedback on the site structure or my Tumblr strategy. Thanks!

tumblr backlinks often fail to appear in Google Search Console (GSC) because
Google takes time to crawl/index new links, or they are deemed
low-quality, automated, or "no-follow."
 
Check your site's crawlability too. If Google isn't indexing your main pages well, Tumblr backlinks alone won't make much difference.
 
It could be a combination of Tumblr account authority and your site structure, you can audit crawlability, internal linking and content quality before assuming the backlinks are the issue.

Tumblr links can be indexed but new accounts with many external links won't index very well at all. You should spend more time developing an account history and getting some organic activity before considering it for SEO.
