That's exactly why you should focus on the first 3-5 seconds of the video.

Classic fresh account issue, the algorithm is testing your account, I'd just keep posting as long it's good content with no copyright problem.
 
TikTok is becoming increasingly strict about viewer retention rates and video-to-view rates within the first 200 test views. I think to overcome this, you need to optimize your hook to be more engaging or have controversial content to keep viewers on longer.
 
Yeah, it happens quite frequently. TikTok tends to test the new uploads with a small number of people initially and then, in case retention or rewatches are not sufficiently high for the videos that are alike, the distribution process is slowed down. For me, it worked better to change the first 2,3 seconds and then repost it.

This is normal for new accounts, as TikTok's algorithm hasn't decided yet if your content should be pushed. Just stay consistent with your quality and posting and after a couple of week the problem will solve itself.
 
its a part of their algorithm that first they push your videos if they have potential to grow or not. now you can do is to make long duration videos with attraction in first 5 seconds

I will advice you try use some other hashtag that you want the video to reach.

yess , this is something that frequently occurs. tiktok always does a little nudges initiall and if the retention drops even slightly, it halts any further distribution. i would look into the first 2 to 3 seconds hook and completion rates over likes.
 
It is normal for a new video to garner only 200–300 views; focus on creating engaging content that captures viewers' attention from the very first seconds to boost the video completion rate.
 
I have noticed this too sometimes videos seem to get an initial test audience and then slow down improving the hook and retention seems to help with reach.
 
new accounts get an engagement push, but your newer content only gets 200 views push to build some data for the algo, if it doesnt grow means algo thinks your content is not engaging the viewers, maybe weak hooks and low retention rate
 
I think this is a common issue for TikTok channels that struggle to grow. When videos fail to reach the recommendation feed, their views are often limited to the channel’s existing followers, making it much harder to attract new viewers.

Their algorithm changes too often, one method working last week may not work this week. Look at other people in your niche who are getting more views. copy what they make and experiment.
