How to build authority signals through linkedin posts

LinkedIn posts can help increase your content's visibility and drive targeted traffic. Publish engaging posts consistently and use them to direct readers to your blog or website as part of your overall SEO strategy.

the real SEO value comes when your LinkedIn content gets people searching your brand name or drives traffic to your site, those signals matter.

I think consistency is more important than going viral. I would share useful insights from real projects, simple SEO tips, industry observations, and lessons learned instead of posting only promotional content.

I’ve been posting regularly on LinkedIn and getting decent engagement, but I’m not sure if it’s actually helping with SEO or authority outside the platform. It feels good for visibility, but hard to measure real impact.

I’m trying to figure out if there’s a smarter way to use LinkedIn posts for building authority signals.

Do LinkedIn posts actually help with SEO or site trust, and how are you guys using them effectively?
LinkedIn posts can definitely help build authority and brand visibility, but they don't directly boost your SEO rankings.
The biggest benefits come from driving referral traffic, earning backlinks, building credibility, and expanding your professional network. Repurposing your best blog content into LinkedIn posts is a solid strategy.

LinkedIn puts nofollow on outbound links, so there is no equity passing to your site no matter how much a post is shared, and most feed posts are not reliably crawlable in the first place, which means the mentions Google picks up theory is weaker than a few replies here assume. What does work runs entirely through demand rather than links: people who see your posts search your name later, and branded search plus the resulting click behaviour is a signal Google does read. The practical implication is that measuring this in your backlink tool will always look like nothing is happening. Track branded query volume in Search Console instead, and treat a rising line there as the LinkedIn effect rather than looking for referring domains that will never appear.
