Why the IRS taking two weeks to send you via fax or online an EIn? Do they not work........One thing I’d add here, don’t cheap out on the boring paperwork after the LLC is formed. The setup part is easy, keeping Stripe/PP/banks calm is where people mess up.
Make sure your website, invoices, email domain, contracts and bank info all match the same company name/address as much as possible. Paypal especially can wake up 2 months later and ask for proof of business, supplier/client invoices, tax docs etc. If you used Wise just for verification and then actually operate from Relay/Mercury, keep it clean.
Also yeah, EIN is free if you can wait. Paying $50-100 for someone to fax a form is just lazy tax imo, but I get why some people do it if they hate dealing with IRS stuff.
Hey @Vlad2012As far as I know, there is no risk with this type.
Yes, no problem and don't forget a professional email linked to a professional and consistent website. So far as I know with Wyoming LLC's Mercury accepts the registered agents address- right ?
Not at the moment...anyone faced this question from Mercury
Revenue
Please upload proof of customer payment (invoice from the past year, customer receipts or purchase orders from the past 90 days), processor or platform record (Stripe, Paypal, or e-commerce payout summary from the past 90 days), customer contract or agreement (signed contract from the past year), or proof of funding such as grant or crowdfunding confirmation from the past year to verify the source of funds for your business.
I got it when I applied my application and EINNot at the moment...
I don't really see the benefit of having a US LLC as a German tax resident. In most cases, it'll be taxed pretty much the same as a regular German UG or GmbH, so I don't see any significant advantage. But when I read whatpayment com site, the problems many LLC owners (foreigners) facing is that these online banks not let you scale to high 7 figures, they freezing your money often when you make $500k a month or much less.
For me who lives in EU (germany) it look slike a LLC is not the right structure for all this, most platforms connect to EU data DCA/7, report it to authorithies 1x time a year, like US platforms do. But for me it's better then have an UK Limited (Ltd.) company with UK address not only register agent address and a UK bank account (maybe later not at start) so there is no KYC mismatch.
US online banks freezing you when you want withdraw your CEO "salary" to an EU bank they will freeze the money and vice versa.
Not forget to have a good business label description for these banks (yopur lawyer will do it) doing oinline video coaching as example they will reject/ ban you.
Bankster globalists and orange ape had damaged a lot to us. A nightmare to send my passport to the USA, it costs 100€ for notariy verification or more, only to get a good real office addresse and other services? What a nightmare these US elites have done.
It looks like today you need ITIN (foreigners) for these online banks and a good real physicaL office address and phone number. Become a member of US chamber of commerce will be a benefit too.
All these frictions and obstacles they not tell you in youtube videos....
Happy Monday !
What will happen when I make $500k what do you mean? Yes I think a UK limited company is the better choice for me here because these platforms forcing me to use EU data DCa/ 7 (for usa clients) so all data I have my resident, company office +phone and local UK bank account later all is in EU region with an UK Limited. Then I think these platforms then will not make me any stress, get Tax ID /Number for an UK Limited is not a big obstacle , most they accept my passport without need notary or other expensive passport verify process as US wants.I don't really see the benefit of having a US LLC as a German tax resident. In most cases, it'll be taxed pretty much the same as a regular German UG or GmbH, so I don't see any significant advantage.
And once you're making $500k a month, I doubt getting an ITIN, renting a proper office, or even flying to the US is going to be your biggest concern for a proper bank account.
That's incorrect in most cases. It looks like today you need ITIN (foreigners) for these online banks and a good real physicaL office address and phone number. Become a member of US chamber of commerce will be a benefit too.
Ok, so then why so many people with an LLC and EIN facing money freezing troubles so they can't scale to high 7 figures? That's incorrect in most cases.
For fintechs such as Mercury, Relay, or Wise Business, an ITIN is generally not required for non-residents. An EIN (Employer Identification Number) and a valid passport are usually sufficient. Mercury explicitly states that non-U.S. founders can open a business account without being U.S. residents.
