What has become easier in SEO over the last 5 years?

For me, the biggest change has been research and content planning. A few years ago I had to spend hours digging through different tools and search results, but now AI and better SEO platforms help me find ideas, understand search intent, and organize content much faster. It saves a lot of time, although actually ranking still takes patience and consistent effort.

Collecting data is much easier today. Turning it into consistent results is still the hardest part.

What has become easier in SEO over the last 5 years?

SEO has changed a lot over the last five years.

Some tasks that used to take hours can now be done much faster. We have better tools, more resources to learn from, and new technologies that have changed the way many people work.

At the same time, SEO has also become more competitive. Getting results today often requires more testing, patience, and a better understanding of what actually works.

I'm curious about your experience.

There is rising competition for sure. But with good keywords research and some analysis of own interests , you can conclude some topics to start blog on that will give you good revenue in future. Smart work is needed more and just plain hard work is not enough .

1. Creating content
2. Industrialized Link Building (kind of)

content research has become much easier. AI tools can quickly organise topics, identify search intent, and create solid first drafts, which saves a lot of time.

That said, getting content to rank has become harder, so I spend more time refining quality, topical authority, and user value than I did five years ago.

ON page and off page SEO audit by AI tools made huge changes

For me, the biggest change has been the availability of cheaper tools. Nowadays, almost everyone has access to professional tools for keyword research and seo optimization. I'm not sure how much ai has changed content creation, though. I still haven't really tried writing or ranking articles using ai content

It become easier to create lots of content thanks to AI and is much easier to do keywords research

content research has become much easier AI tools can speed up brainstorming and outlining but i still think you need to review and improve everything before publishing it saves time but testing and experience are still the most important parts of seo

Technical audits are definitely easier now, Modern crawlers and reporting tools highlight most issues right away, So I spend more time fixing problems than trying to find them.

For me, content research has become much easier. AI can quickly help organize ideas, identify gaps, and create outlines, which saves a lot of time. The hard part now isn't producing content, it's making it genuinely better than everything else that's already out there.

Finding ideas has become much simpler but earning visibility still depends on how well the content serves the reader.

Earning visibility is the hardest part.. ot seems saturated

The data is easier to access now but knowing which opportunities are actually worth pursuing still takes experience.
Providing value is important but keeping information accurate and up to date is equally critical.

Finding the right niche early makes everything else much easier especially when you are thinking long term.
Definetly. This is a very important factor and every blogger who is running blogs should first learn keyword research. Keyword research is important not only while starting the blog but also in later stages.

In my opinion, the greatest advancement is data access and data analyssis speed. around five years ago, people were spending quite some tym gathering information, but now the challenge is to filter out the unneccessary data and extract usefull insights from it. The role of SEO has shifted from data discovery to decision making.
That's an important shift Success today depends less on finding data and more on using it effectively.

keyword research has become much easier than before. Earlier it took a lot of time to find good topics, but now tools give more ideas and data quickly. It helps me understand what people are searching for.
