I fel that a mere high rank wil not do. It apear that the sarch engine give higher importance to the integrity of the whole website than any particular action like link building or even volume of content.

One of the biggest challenges right now is getting pages indexed and then keeping stable rankings. Google has become way stricter about content quality, topical authority, and link relevance, like the whole thing feels more demanding. I am also noticing that high-quality backlinks count more than just volume, while AI-generated content makes it harder to stand out in practice. What obstacles are others running into?

For me, the biggest challenge right now is keeping up with google's constant changes. Creating genuinely helpful content and earning quality backlinks has become much more important than before.
While many concentrate solely on the backlink process, My perception is that the harder part currently is the demuonstration of actual value after having achieved the rank. the search intent, the behavioral pattern of users, and updating your content regularly become crucial.

For me, the biggest challenge is finding relevant, high-quality websites that stay active and maintain their standards over time.
Another problem i find myself facing recently is how to distingiuish between signals and noise. With so much going on within the sphere of SEO optimization, it is really hard not to continue running after various tactics and understand why one website is successfull.

honestly the thing that eats most of my time now is link decay. you can build solid placements and half of em vanish within 3-4 months, so you end up rebuilding the same profile over and over just to stay in place. i started keeping a monitoring sheet and rechecking live status monthly, cuts down on nasty surprises.
other real headache nobody mentioned yet is the AI overviews stealing clicks. rank fine, impressions up, but the answer sits right there at the top so people never scroll down. bottom funnel and commercial intent stuff still converts, informational content is getting gutted though. shifting more effort toward pages that actually pull buyers instead of chasing traffic numbers.

I believe the google update.
The most difficult thing for me right now is under standing what is actually worth doing when there are multiple factors involved. It may be the case that a site will rank better but have the same amount of clicks, and a site that has been improved may actually go down in the rankings. The old formula of making a change and looks to see what the results were is not as effective.

My biggest challenge is knowing which SEO changes actually matter. With so many updates and conflicting advice, testing and separating signal from noise takes more time than the optimisation itself.

For me, it's keeping content fresh without constantly rewriting everything. Updating old pages strategically has become almost as important as publishing new ones.
The most hardest thing, i believe, at this point in time is not only to get those rankings but also to create something which will keep working well after each modification. While there are many ways of producing immeidiate results, the key problem consists in maintaining authority, relevance, and the value for users. SEO is not about quick fixes anymore but about creating a system that will withstand changes.
