I've been seeing mixed opinions about expired domains lately. Some people still get great SEO results from them, while others believe Google now ignores much of their old authority after ownership changes.

If an expired domain has a clean backlink profile and relevant history, do you think it's still worth investing in? Or is building a brand-new domain the better long-term approach?

I'd love to hear your recent experiences.

I think expired domains can still be valuable, but only if they have a clean history and high-quality backlinks.

I don't rely on DA or DR alone. I always check the domain's history and niche relevance first. A good expired domain can be an advantage, while a spammy one is more likely to cause problems.

This yes, but lot of expired domains have spammy chinese or Indonesian casino language links(zu or id language). Their DA keep dropping even to 0. Such domains are bad investment. You need to put up a site asap and recreate after registering else it's no good.

Yes and no, depends on how u use them.

As far as my experience goes i value relevance over age. it is better for me to buy a domain that may have expired but has natural backlinks nd has a history related to my niche than buy a domain with high stats nd questionabble history. it is always better for me to build history from scrattch.

Expired domains can still work if the history and backlinks are good. But I think checking the domain carefully is very important before buying.

If you are building the website in the same niche, yes it is beneficial. even if that domain was penalized you can utilize it.

Yeah if the domain has a clean history and real backlinks it can still be a solid investment and i always check the backlink profile and past use first because a bad history is never worth the risk.

Expired domains can still be a good option when they have a strong backlink profile, a relevant past, and no history of spam. They might give you a small head start, but lasting SEO success comes from creating valuable content and building a trusted brand. If you’re focused on long-term growth, starting with a new domain is usually the more reliable choice.

If the domain has clean history and relevant backlinks then it is worth buying that domain. But don't buy any domain because of its high authority score as quality and relevance matter much more than this.

A clean and relevant expired domain can still give you a good head start, but it won't guarantee long-term rankings. If you are building a serious brand you need to focus on creating quality content and earning trust. Those matter far more than the history of the domain.

I think expired domains can still be worthwhile if the history is genuinely clean and relevant I'd spend more time verifying the backlink profile than looking at authority metrics alone.

I've had mixed result's recently, Some expired domains picked up quickly, While others never performed, even with decent backlinks. These days I treat them as a bonus, not a guarantee.

expired domains r more of a time saver than a substitute for a good SEO technique in my opinion. an expired domain will be usefful if it holds authority based on relevant sites nd there is no hiistory of spamming by the site owners. otherwise i think it is better to create a new domain with true trust from scrattch.

Expired domains may still hold some value if they have a clean reputation, useful backlinks, and no spamming issues. I always check the background of expired domains first bfore buying them. BBut i suggest for a long term brand you should choose a fresh domain because its a safe way.

Catching a good expired domain is more difficult than before.

If you're fortunate to get one, I think it gives you an advantage over registering a fresh domain.

But my advice is... Don't expect too much from expired domains, Google don't value them as they used to a decade ago.

Expired domains can still be a good option if they have a clean history, quality backlinks, and were never used for spam. But if you're building a brand for the long run, starting with a fresh domain is often the better choice. In the end, the overall quality and trustworthiness of the domain matter more than whether it's expired or brand new.

Expired domains can still work, but only if the history and backlinks are actually good.

I think expired domains can still be worth it if they have a clean backlink profile, relevant history and no spam issues. That said, for long-term growth and building trust, I'd still choose a brand-new domain unless the expired one is a really strong fit.
