I'm not sure that negative SEO ever lived up to the hype. It was a lot of work for a little, short term benefit.

Agreed - mass spam backlinks barely move the needle anymore since Google mostly just ignores/disavows them algorithmically. The bigger negative SEO risks now are content scraping, hijacked backlinks, and fake DMCA takedowns. Regular Search Console checks and backlink audits are still the best defense.

from what i've seen negative SEO doesn't have the same impact it once did google's algorithms have become much better at filtering out low quality or manipulative links i still monitor my backlink profile regularly keep my website secure and address technical issues as soon as they appear because those are far more likely to affect performance than random spam links

in my experience negative SEO isn't something i worry about as much anymore google's systems do a better job of ignoring most low quality links than they used to i still keep an eye on my backlink profile and website security but i focus far more on improving my own site than worrying about spam attacks

Negative SEO isn't as effective as it used to be because google's algorithms are much better at filtering spam signals that said no website is completely immune i regularly monitor my backlink profile keep my site secure and investigate any unusual activity early prevention and routine checks are still the best defense

google is much better at identifying spam than it used to be so it's not easy to hurt a well established website with spammy backlinks alone that said regular audits and security checks are still a good habit
Negative SEO is not that simple to carry out as compared to what it used to be before but it does not mean u should ignore it altogether. While Google filters many unwanted items it is always safer to maintain ur site nd concentrate on backliinks nd authority.

I think prevention is better than recovery. Keep regular SEO audits, monitor unusual backlink spikes, and secure your website properly to reduce negative SEO risks..
