Recently, I have stopped writing about some topics because when I search them on google, the AI overview already answers most of the question at the top and then people don't scroll the search results.
Due to this I have started looking for topics where people still need detailed answers instead of quick summaries.
Has anyone else changed the way to choose blog topics because of AI overviews ?

My own tactics have been changing too as I m now putting more effort into creating not just answers but guides, comparisons, or material with examples,insights. Such type of content is interresting even with the AI summary as there r some aspects for the reader to consider.

Of course ! It certainly affected my percepption of content. I now attempt to write about issues in which the audience is interested in opinions, case studies, advice nd experience not answers to quick questions. AI can do summaries but people would need something more interestiing to come to a blog.
 
Yes, you are right. I also think to focus on topics where people need detailed explanation or real experience because AI overviews does not answer detailed topics.
 
Yes, I have changed my approach too. I now focus on detailed guides, comparisons, and personal experiences. Those topics still attract readers because AI summaries cannot cover everything people need.

I have observed the same trend mysellf. It has become increasingly difficult to compete with simple posts providing information thus making it sensible to pay attention to areas where experience, opinion, case studies, or how to guides r important rather than just factual infformation.

this is kind of new to me how does this work for me i tend to make blog post on research that AI cant respond to
 
I still write informational content, but I try to add more personal insights and practical tips. Those are the things AI summaries usually miss.
 
AI overviews have definitely changed keywords research for me. I now spend more time looking for topics where users are likely to need examples, case studies or step by step solutions instead of simple factual answers.

yahh my strategy has also changed. Instead of choosing questions that have easy answers, I m concentrating on issues where illustrations, compariisons, personal experiences, or explanations r required. Such types of content cannot be easily substituted by AI summaries.
 
Focus on experience based, comparison, local, and in depth topics that AI summaries can't fully replace.
 
But I feel that the most important modification is not to avoid all the subjects covered by AI, but rather find a better approach to them. It will be possible for any topic to make it work through adding perssonal data, experiments, screenshots, or experience. Blogs are often visited with an expectation of creidibility and clarity of information.
 
yea personal experience and solving specific problems seem to matter a lot more now.

Same trend observed by me too. The current opportunity is less about providing answers to the straight forward questions but about developing content that cannot be summarized by an AI testing, opinion, example, and workflow. These are the pages where users see the point in coming.

Yes you are right. Real examples and personal experience are harder for AI to replace and they also make the content useful for readers.

I think more people are doing that now, topics that need detiled explanations or real experiences still have a much better chance than simple questions.

Yes. Lots of bloggers are turning toward subjects that need detailed handbooks, comparisons, case studies, lived experience, and step-by-step lessons. AI Overviews usually touch basic answers only, so material that gives deeper insights or a unique area expertise tends to pull in more clicks ,and more engagement.
