Hi,
I want to know that, is it important to update your old blog post or can post newer blogs? Share your opinions and experiences how often do you update your old blog posts?

Updating old blog posts is important because fresh, accurate content can improve rankings and traffic, so I typically review key posts every 3 to 6 months.
 
I update old posts whenever I see traffic dropping or when the information becomes outdated. Some of my best-performing articles are several years old and a small refresh can often bring more traffic than writing a brand new post. I like to review important posts every few months, especially in niches where things change quickly.
 
From what I’ve seen, both updating old posts and publishing fresh content can make a difference. If the existing post ranks or gets traffic, then a refresh can give it a performance boost more quickly than new content, particularly for SEO and accuracy. But adding new content regularly helps you grow your audience, so a combination of the two tends to be most effective for your site goals.
 
Refreshing page 2 posts works, but here's the real hack: update those old posts AND add quality backlinks to them.

I have seen page 2 posts jump to top 3 in a week just from a fresh update + a few good links. Without the links, it takes longer. With both? That's when you see real movement.

Update every 2 to 3 months on posts ranking 11-20. Faster than writing new stuff.
 
I update whenever it's necessary. I revisit old posts when the rankings fluctuate and update content if the fresh content is ranking better. Sometimes I update because the information is redundant and other times it's because I notice some mistakes. So, I update my old posts when there is a need, not just to trick the algorithm.
 
I’d update posts every 6–12 months, especially if they still get impressions but low clicks.

Generally, people focus on newer, more useful content, they review older content, but less frequently than new content.
 
I don't follow a fixed schedule. I usually update old posts when rankings start dropping, traffic declines, or the information becomes outdated. A few small updates can often make a bigger difference than publishing a brand-new article. Keeping content fresh has worked better for me than letting it sit untouched for years.
