Everyone talks about optimizing pages, but nobody talks about when its time to stop. How long do you give a page before deciding it's not worth improving anymore?
At what point do you give up on a page?

I usually give a page 3 6 months with a couple of meaningful updates, not constant tweaking. If impressions stay flat and it never gets traction, I either merge it into a stronger page or move on instead of wasting more time
In most case I don't disable the page at the set time but wait until 3 to 6 months have passed without any impresions or CTR changes on the page in gogle search console. If there are any impresions recorded on that particular page then the page gets combined otherwise, it is left as it is.

you don't see any improvement in 3-4 months with continuous update. then that's enough

Most times, I will stop after making 2 to 3 significant changes after a few months. But in cases where no changes are observed even after correcting all these factors, then I will prefer to move on to another page

If there is no movement, I stop working after 2-3 updates within 2-3 months. It makes sense to give up if something is crawled and doesn’t produce any results because it would be better to start developing a more promising topic

Sometimes not touching the page is the right decision.I have seen people make many improvements that they end up hurting a page that was already doing fine.Not every page needs constant tweaking.

I use Moz's On-Page Grader as a reference and usually stop when the score hits 90-95.

I usually give a page 3 to 6 months after an optimization to show some movement in rankings. If it still has zero traction after multiple tweaks, I stop wasting time and move on to new content.

It depends on the ability of the page. If a page is getting a bit of traffic after some updates then I would like to spend my time in creating content with better opportunities but if stays same for months after updation then I stops to optimize a page.

I usually give page a few months as long as it is getting impressions or slowly moving up. If there is no progress after updating the content and improving internal links then i either change the targeting or merge it into a stronger page instead of endlessly tweaking it.
I never give up on any page just bcz it’s slow it is about whether it gets even a single impression or long tail click after several months, which gives me enough tym to wait for Google tests. If Google still does not test it after 3 to 6 months, content improvements, and proper internal linking, I usually merge it with another page.

If a page is completely stagnant after 6 to 9 months of solid optimization, topical adjustments, and quality link building, it is usually time to change strategy. Instead of entirely giving up on the URL, it is better to redirect its remaining equity into a better-performing, relevant asset. Alternatively, stripping it down to merge into a broader, high-performing topical cluster works much better than leaving dead weight on your crawl budget.

Depends on a page. If its a blog page - you can give up, but if a service one - you simply cant.

If a page no longer matches search intent despite multiple quality updates, its usually time to consolidate or replace it.
In most case I alocate about 3 - 6 months for a pag. In case the page does not get any impresion even after updating it then I decide to combine it with anothr page.
