Does a Blog Need a “Personality” to Grow in 2026?

For beginners, I’d focus on being clear first, then add personal examples, opinions, and real experience. That usually creates a stronger “voice” than trying to sound unique on purpose.

There is a lot of similar content online, so having my own style or personality makes my writing memorable and helps readers connect with me.

I’ve noticed that readers stick around when I stop trying to sound like a textbook and just talk the way I normally do. Even small quirks or opinions work as a kind of fingerprint, and people pick up on that stuff quicker than we think. What helps me is writing a draft for value, then doing a second pass where I let my own voice peek through without overthinking it.

Been there, tried to keep things generic at first, but folks just bounced right off. Once I started sprinkling in my quirks and little stories, people started sticking around and actually chatting. Google seems to really sniff out anything that reads like it was spat out by a bot, so a dash of realness pays off in clicks and comments now, especially with how things are in 2026.

AI can generate basic, useful information in seconds, flooding the internet. Readers only stick around and trust you if your writing has a distinct personality they can actually relate to.

I own a bunch of affiliate gambling sites and all the authors we use to publish content are real people. Some companies use fake profiles and AI-generated images - we tested that too, but they perform worse than real profiles. Real people can still use AI to work more efficiently, but authentic profiles just work better.

Yes personality is essential for blog growth in 2026.
Because information alone is no longer enough, it’s everywhere. People follow blogs that have a distinct voice, that have a human touch.
Yeah, write.

Hi,
As a beginner, I have been wondering, there are millions of blog posts online covering the same topics, often with similar information.
Do you think having a unique voice or personality in writing matters more now, or is useful content alone enough to stand out and build a loyal audience?
The valuable content will help people find u, while the way u present yourself and ur views on the matter will provide them with the motiivation to return. Indeed, there are tons of articles which contain the same information.

The reason y information alone will not be sufficient is the existence of many other options that the reader has. What matters at the end of the day is the way in which the infformation is presented to the reader ur views, experiences and writing style.

A blog certainly needs to have its own voice. Content may be replicated but the way you express urself, your experiences and connect with your audience is what brings them back. Good content attracts them for the first time and personality builds loyalty.

I believe that the reader remember the emotions evoked by the article as much as the knowledge he gains from it. Useful information is very impportant but what will really set ur work apart from the rest is the real voice and style of writing.
