Are we entering an era where trust matters more than traffic?

It feels like audience are becoming more selective about who they listen to online. Do you think trust, authority and brand reputation are becoming more important than raw traffic numbers when it comes to building a successful online business?
Traffic gets visitors .Trust turn them into customers

Yes, audience become more selective. In my opinion, just traffic is not useful if any viewer don't convert into customer so yes, trust, authority and brand reputation is more important. People don't buy anything without searching about the reviews, comments left by the old users.

It is not that traffic has become unimportant; rather, the weight of traffic is declining, while the weight of "trust-based conversion rates" is rising.

I think so.Getting traffic is great, but if people don't trust the site or brand, they usually would not come back.I would rather have a smaller audience that actually engages than a lot of random visitors.
