This has happened to me a few times.

I spend hours in writing an article but before publishing it I read it again and decide to keep it as a draft. Sometimes it does not feel complete and other times I just feel it is missing something, even though I can not explain what is missing.

Has this happened to anyone else ? If yes then what usually makes you hold back from publishing ?

Yes this happens often because sometimes an article feels unfinished unclear or simply does not match the quality I expected initially

Yes this has happened to me as well Sometimes, I hold back when the article does not fully match search intent or feels incomplete or lacks a clear angle Even if the writing is fine

I usually do not publish it if it does not feel useful enough for the reader

yes, It happens I usually leave the draft for a day and read it again with fresh eyes. Most of the time, I either find what's missing or realize it was ready to publish all along.

It happens to me too once and one thing that helps is stepping away for a day and reading it again with fresh eyes instead of trying to perfect it in one sitting. Sometimes what's "missing" isn't the content, it's just confidence in hitting publish.

That is a common problem, but you need to understand, no piece of content can be perfect. If you chase perfection, you'll be wasting a lot of time. Publish the article. If there are any errors, they can be fixed later as well.

Yes, It happens with me too. I finished articles but decided not to publish because I felt the content was not good enough or did not offer anything new.

Yes this happens to me as well, but even if an article is perfect, after reading and correcting the next day I usually also publish it at that time.

Yes, I've done that before sometimes i leave an article as a draft for a day and read it again with a fresh mind that often helps me notice small improvements

Yes, it has happened to me many times. Sometimes I finish an article, proofread it and realize it does not feel complete. Instead of publishing it right away, I save it as a draft and come back to it after a day or two with a fresh perspective. More often than not, I end up making improvements that I would have missed otherwise. I would rather publish something I am genuinely happy with than rush it just because it's finished.

Yes, I completely agree with that. Taking a break and coming back later really helps you in seeing the things more clearly and improve the article before publishing.

I get that way too. If I read that and do not feel excited to hit publish, I leave it as a draft for a day .

Nope. I don't like leaving things unfinished. Even when I've considered not publishing something, I always end up publishing it because I believe that if I start something, I have a responsibility to finish it.

Yeah, this happens to me too sometimes. I think after spending too much time on an article it becomes easy to notice every small thing that feels wrong.

Usually I just leave it for a day and read it again with fresh eyes. Sometimes it is actually missing something, and sometimes it is already good enough but I'm just overthinking it.

Yes, I have done that few many times. It is because I feel the article does not fully answered the topic or does not offering anything new.
If I am not happy with the article then I will take time to improve it and then publish.

Yes oftenly I did this. I think its just process of Over thinking.

yes, I have done that more than once. Sometimes after staring at the same article for hours, I start overthinking it. I have found its better to leave it for a day and come back with fresh eyes before deciding whether to publish.
