There is a agency who is doing seo for my site from last 4 months. But still i am not getting a single lead. Is it normal

I'd ask the agency to show exactly what they've achieved so far, what keywords are improving, how much organic traffic has grown and what their plan is for turning visitors into leads.

Do you get monthly reports from them?
Was your website new?
If yes - it is normal for seo efforts to show fruitful results after 6 months.

Still, ask them what are they trying to achieve right now with seo. you can analyze their reports through chatgpt. tell chatgpt exactly what you want from your website. what your goals are, then show them the seo reports.

Good luck.

They are promising to provide any assurance of the leads, or helps to strengthen your on-page structure. If your website is new running less then a 6 months or a year, You need to be patient to achieve better results. But follow the process and get the monthly report for your SEO team.

four months is plenty of time to at least see some movement in google search console. forget their reports for a second and just log into gsc yourself. are impressions actually going up? if impressions and clicks are climbing but you still have zero leads, then either your landing page is bad or they are ranking you for useless keywords that have zero buying intent. but if there is zero traffic growth at all after 4 months... yeah they might just be doing basic weekly blog posts and spamming low tier links. you need to see the actual work they delivered.

Yeah, it's normal. If you want to see traffic or engagement on your website you have to wait till 5-6 months after that you will see some traffic on your website. Also you should also keep communicating with the agency, check their reports on weekly basis, and also make sure they are focusing on quality traffic and conversions, not just for rankings.

to be honest four months without a single lead doesn't automatically mean the SEO is failing, but it's definitely worth asking for a clear report on what's been done and what results they are tracking. I'd also review whether your website is actually converting visitors into leads, because SEO alone can't fix a weak offer or landing page.

Not actually true. I made a brand new website in the legal niche in Ireland and i was getting clicks in the 1st week. Also it got indexed 750 pages in 3 weeks. Site is 2 months old now...absolutely no links and is getting 500 impressions and 2% ctr from page 3. So its posible

It depends on your niche and competition but I'd expect to see at least some progress after four months make sure they're tracking the right keywords and not just sending reports

4 months with zero leads sounds a bit concerning, but it depends on the niche, keywords, and what the agency is actually doing.

Rankings alone don't always mean conversions.

Four months can still be early for SEO but getting no leads at all is worth reviewing I'd check whether rankings organic traffic and the quality of visitors have improved before judging the campaign.

What are they doing? SEO can mean a lot of different things. Please elaborate.

That’s a good point. ChatGPT can help analyze SEO reports and highlight possible issues, but I still believe expert review matters because every website has different goals and challenges. Reports give data, but proper strategy comes from understanding the full picture.

I agree with you. SEO and website growth usually take time, so expecting instant traffic is not realistic. Consistency is important regular communication with the agency, checking weekly reports, and focusing on quality traffic and conversions matter more than rankings alone. In the long run, targeted visitors who convert are what really grow a business.

That’s a great example, and I agree there are always exceptions. Some fresh sites can gain traction very fast if the niche, content quality, and indexing speed are strong. Your legal niche case in Ireland shows that new websites can still get impressions and clicks early, even without backlinks. I think results really depend on competition, content quality, and overall site structure.

I agree. Progress can vary depending on the niche and competition, but seeing some positive movement within 4 months is a reasonable expectation. I also think it’s important to focus on the right keywords that bring actual business results, not just rankings on low value terms. Clear tracking and proper reporting make a big difference.

Consider whether or not to continue collaborating with that company, as what you stand to lose is not just money, but also time and various other opportunity costs.

I agree with you. Before continuing with any company, it’s important to look at both the risks and the potential benefits. Losing money is one thing, but losing time and missing better opportunities can be even more costly.
