I have noticed something recently that I can not figure out.

A lot of my video stuck around 200-300 views. Some gets decent likes and watch time but the views stop growing shortly after posting.

What confuses me is that older videos on the same account get better reach with similar content.

I am trying to understand whether this is normal TikTok testing, increased competition or something else.

Has anyone else experienced this ? If yes then what you do that helped your videos to get traffic ?

Sometimes one small change at the start of the video is enough to push it past that 200-300 view range.

What type of hooks have give you the biggest improvement in views ?
 
I think it's just part of how TikTok tests videos. Sometimes similar content takes off, and sometimes it doesn't. The only thing that's really helped me is testing different hooks and posting consistently.

why do we agree or allow this. They all do it. Why should they interfere once we have a follower, a follower should see what we put out but all the platforms do this 3-5% of your followers see something because they are the ones running everything, but without us on their platforms they die on the vine.

it is time that users stop allowing the gestapo companies to run everything, control everything, control our views.

It's normal thing on Tiktok, Sometimes videos get stuck around 200-300 views even when the engagement looks decent.
I think tiktok is testing content more aggressively now. try to improve your first 3 seconds on your video and trying different formats instead of reposting same video.
 
I think that's quite common for channels with a small number of subscribers. If a video isn't picked up by the recommendation algorithm, it's likely to be seen mostly by your existing subscribers, which naturally limits its overall view count.

But how can I get their attention in first few seconds and the content is same as before ?
 
I have a similar TikTok channel, but it only gets around 200 views and then stops growing. I’m not sure what the reason is.
 
A plateau around 200–300 views often means TikTok is testing your video with a small audience before deciding whether to expand its reach. Focus on stronger hooks, watch time and engagement rather than posting more frequently alone.
 
sounds like you're stuck in the initial test pool, decent engagement should push past that but something's capping it, check completion rate not just likes
