301 redirect specific pages from expired domain to a 7 day old site?

Hi BHWs , I found an expired domain with 662 (0.4DR) backlinks from 130 referring domains. it matches my legal niche perfectly.

it has a very clean archive.org wayback history going back to 2012/2013. it also has some really high authority d*follow links from law/tech sites like justia(90DR), avvo(89DR), and techdirt.

The only problem is, it also has some low quality directory spam links (like seo directories and link lists).

My main site is only 7 days old. gsc is starting to show 77 impressions (54 from us) and 10.5 avg position, but no clicks yet.

should i 301 redirect only those specific high authority pages (justia/techdirt links) to my new site to avoid the spam links? or will google sandbox my 7 day old site anyway because of the 301?

Redirecting an expired domain to a 7 day old site is a mistake. Google algorithms are suspicious of fresh domains receiving sudden spikes in authority. Redirecting specific pages instead of the whole site does not isolate the spam. The link profile is always evaluated at the root domain level. Rebuild the expired domain as a standalone PBN site. Publish content and wait a month. If it indexes and gets impressions, place a contextual link to your main project. Do not risk your fresh domain with a 301 redirect.

301ing partial pages works fine, the spam directory links just won't pass much equity anyway so no real downside skipping them
