Hi,
I am working on a new website and I want to know that which site architecture mistake causes the most SEO problems. What should be the right site architecture which help to engage viewer with the site.

I think the worst mistake is burying pages too deep. If it takes a user (or a Google crawler) more than 3 clicks from the homepage to reach an article, it basically becomes an orphan page and gets ignored.

The easiest fix is keeping a flat structure. Just group your posts into simple, tight categories (silos) and make sure to interlink them. It keeps navigation super clean and makes sure your link juice actually flows to the deeper pages.

A poorly constructe website will affect crawling as well as seo rankings. one must remember that important pages should be accessible in 2 or 3 clicks from the homepage, content must be categorized according to topics, a breadcrumb path should be established, and good internal links must be created.
 
Overcomplicating the site architecture is usually where problems start A simple structure with clear categories logical navigation and easy access to key pages tends to work best for both SEO and user experience

Content does not have to be wordy to receive top rankings for its sites search engine results page. short articles that provide comprehensive coverage of the information sought by the seeker win against long-winded writing.

One common mistake is creating too many un necessary categories . Simplicity almost always performs better.
 
Overcomplicated category structures create more problems than people realize. Simplicity often works better.

Bad internal linking is the one that causes the most problems in my opinion.
