Is content promotion more important than content creation now?

many bloggers spend weeks creating content but very little time promoting it. Do you think content distribution and promotion have become more important than content creation itself in today's competitive environment?
It's based on your target or purpose of content if you want to earn from content then of course you must do marketing, and if your goal is not earning just to be famous or for fun then marketing is not necessary.

No, creation is much more important. I would rather have 100 new posts created and posted VS spending $100 on 1 ad. Especially FB, the organic growth with Video Content is insane.

Tbh I think promotion gets overlooked way too often. You can spend weeks writing a great piece of content, but if nobody sees it, it won't do much. These days, creating the content is only half the job. Getting it in front of the right people matters just as much, if not more.

content creation is the foundation, but promotion is just as important. if you spend a week creating content, you need to spend equal or more time promoting it.

Not now, promotion always has been the real deal, publishing multiple contents for nobody to see is a waste of effort, I learnt from Neil Patel, that it's better to focus more on promoting a content than to consistently publish contents with no plans of promotions or sharing the contents on different social platforms, and accounts for more audience to read.

I wouldn't say promotion is more important than content creation, but I do think the balance has shifted. Great content that nobody sees won't perform, while excellent promotion can't save weak content forever.

A mistake I see often is spending 20 hours creating an article and then 10 minutes promoting it. These days, distribution deserves almost as much attention as creation. Repurposing content, building an audience, email marketing, social media, and community engagement can often generate more results than publishing another article.

The best approach seems to be creating something genuinely useful and then making sure people actually discover it. Too many bloggers focus on only one side of that equation.

i think both matter but a lot of people underestimate promotion.
i have seen great articles get almost no traffic because nobody knew they existed.
these days spending time on outreach, social sharing and getting eyes on your content can be just as important as writing it in the first place.

I thhink both matter, but promotion is definitely more important than it used to be. Great content with no distribution often gets ignored. At the same time, promotion won't save weak content.

Absolutely. Great content is still important, but in today's competitive environment, promotion and distribution often make the bigger difference. Even the best article can go unnoticed without proper outreach, social sharing, backlinks and audience engagement.

seen great content get almost no traffic because it was not distributed properly.
in my experience, writing the article is only half the work but the real impact often comes from how well you promote it through seo, social and backlinks.

I think content creation and promotion both are important. but a great article that nobody sees won’t do much. These days, spending time on promotion is almost as important as creating the content itself.

Yes, content promotion is extremely important today great content alone is not enough if people never see it in many cases smart promotion and distribution can have a bigger impact than creating more content best results come from balancing both creation and promotion

Content creation and content promotion are like two faces of marketing. For example, if you make content and promote on YouTube as a new channel, you have to promote it via ads or other social media platforms to reach the audience.

If you give more valuable and more attention grabbing contents, you might spend less on promotions.

I think promotion is what actually pushes content in front of people now. without it even good articles just sit there unnoticed.

What I learned through my experience is that content creation and promotion work together. Strong content attracts people and good promotion helps people to discover it.

content creation is the most effective method to generate index and plagiarism fix page for readers to understand, with good optimize content can get listed on first page in keyword search engine result.

honestly yes, i have built tools that were solid but got zero traction because nobody knew they existed. you can have the best content or product in the world but if you dont put effort into getting it in front of people its basically worhltess

I guess both of these equally matters, but promotion is a missing piece. I have seen an average content get good traffic only because it is distributed well and good content stayed invisible because nobody new it was there.

Absolutely. These days, creating content is only half the job. I've seen average content perform well with strong distribution, while great content gets ignored with little promotion. Sharing through email lists, social media, communities, backlinks, and strategic internal linking often has a bigger impact than publishing another article. In a crowded SERP, visibility is just as important as quality.
