Tumblr has strong niche communities. Is it still useful for brand positioning?

Many Tumblr users migrated to X and Bluesky, myself included. I don't know how active the platform is these days, but what's clear is that since its Apple debacle, it's now just a shadow of its former self, relegated to niche communities that originated there. If your brand's offerings align with those communities, you can try it out and share your experience here.

with active traffic of 130-140m a month there small potential there
but over the years the traffic is still falling

It’s good for building identity and connecting with specific communities

Just don’t expect big traffic

Yes, for some niches Tumblr still works well for branding and community building it's not a huge traffic source anymore but for fandoms, art, aesthetics, lifestyle and niche interests it can still help build visibility and loyal followers

Yeah, it's still kicking for some of us, especially if you're really into a specific aesthetic or subculture. i still use it to find mood boards and inspiration for my personal stuff. but realistically, for brand positioning? it's a bit of a gamble these days. the algorithm can be brutal, and honestly, discoverability feels harder than it used to be. you gotta be really, really dedicated to building a community there to see any real results

Tumblr still works for certain niches honestly. Fandoms, art, aesthetics and lifestyle communities are active there. Not huge traffic, but decent for brand positioning and niche engagement.

I am working on tumblr from many years. According to me, definitely tumblr is still useful for niche branding in case of some niches.

Yes Tumblr still works well for niche branding thanks to its active interest-driven communities. Its great for creative and subculture content, but not the best choice for wide reach or rapid growth like Instagram or TikTok.

Tumblr can still useful for niche branding especially for fandoms, art, aesthetics and specific communities. some niches still have active audiences there.

I think Tumblr still has value as a brand promotion channel, but it’s not as powerful as platforms like Facebook or Google.

yes, Tumblr can still be useful for niche branding, but mostly in very specific communities like art, fandom, aesthetics, or creative niches.

Tumblr still has value in certain niches because an active community that actually cares about the topic can be more useful than a larger audience with little interest

In my opinion, Tumblr can still be an effective platform for building a niche brand if you focus on the right type of content and create posts that resonate with the Tumblr community.

It can still be valuable for niche branding because its community-driven culture helps brands build authority, connect with highly targeted audiences, and create long term engagement within specific interests.

In my opinion, Tumblr is still very useful for building a niche brand. However, to achieve good results, you need a well-planned strategy and consistent content that resonates with your target audience.

For ORM purposes sure but not really for SEO purposes.
